Teaching
Christian Altenburger began his teaching career as a professor at the Hochschule für Musik and Theater in Hannover. In 2001 he was appointed professor in Vienna at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst.
Christian Altenburger regularly holds masterclasses, including the International Summer Academy Mozarteum, Vienna Masterclasses, Pablo Casals Festival, Allegro Vivo and Haus Marteau among others.
Online Teaching
While online teaching can never fully replace the richness of live, in-person lessons, it has proven to be an excellent alternative—especially for students spread across different countries or facing the high cost of travel.
The pandemic pushed us all to adapt quickly to digital learning, and it’s a mode of teaching I’m genuinely pleased to continue offering.
