Funding
The special idea of the founder was to enable music students to acquire their own instrument, appropriate to their ability, during their studies by initially granting them an interest-free loan. Once the student enters professional life, this loan can then be repaid on favourable terms and the instrument becomes the property of the person receiving the support. Owning a high-quality instrument is of great importance for young musicians to be competitive in an extremely competitive market, and the help provided by PE-Funding comes at precisely this crucial moment in the careers of young musicians. PE grants also provide loan support for CD production and video recording.
Alternatively, PE-Förderungen awards monthly, non-repayable grants for special projects (e.g. a year of study abroad).
Friedemann Eichhorn, Augustin Hadelich, Alissa Margulis, Daniel Müller-Schott, Gustav Rivinius and Arabella Steinbacher are just a few selected names from the list of young musicians who have been who have been supported by PE funding over the last few decades.
